Got Almond Milk?

Back in the beginning of May 2011, I decided to be kind to mother nature, but not kind to my wallet.

Thus began vegan month, where I eat nothing that has a beating heart, or anything made by it.
Of course, there are a few exceptions, with having to eat cake on my birthday (it has milk and eggs!), and eating a traditional noodle as well (chicken/pork broth!).
But other than that, I went along with this challenge, having no plan even on the first day!

Why you may ask I decided vegan? Because I'm fat! Aside from the truth, I just wanted to try out a different diet and see exactly what vegans make if there is no cheese, no honey, and other foods I would regularly eat. It has been quite the eye opener, as I had to discover the hard way that maintaining this kind of diet requires a thick wallet, lots of preparation, and research. But oh well, a few days left, and a verdict will be made when May 31st arrives!

So far, this diet has been pretty good, and most of the recipes are pretty tasty. I'll be posting up some of the recipes I've made so far, the restaurants I've gone to, and the crazy foods I actually bought.

Stick around, and I'll share soon!
